Hi Audrey,

I am not on the same medication as you but if its working already thats brilliant and can only get even better. I'm on Mtx Hydrox and Folic Acid was on Sulph for about 2 years but stopped that last Aug as I no longer need it. I found with that I could not eat curries which I loved and it discolored my urine but other than that nothing else, now that it is stopped I can have curries again and urine is back to normal. It was funny I could not stomach the smell of curry even, and I ate it lots before. I was bedridden in the beginning almost all my joints were affected, now I keep really well so keep positive about the drugs your on. Good luck on your new medication hope its a great success. Hi Audrey

I'm pleased that you've started Enbrel, it can take a few weeks to work fully. I've been on it 4 years now, and I have improved greatly. I was virtually unable to do anything for myself, but now I can manage lots of things. I still can't walk very far, though, and I still get pain in various joints, but not as bad as before Enbrel.

It hasn't affected my diet in any way, apart from not drinking much alcohol.

I hope you carry on improving.

Lyn

Hi Audrey

I have been on Enbrel for 7 years, I was part of the trials before it was licensed. Before I would get up in the morning and literally hurt everywhere, shoulders, hands, hips, knees and feet. I was on a high dosage of steroids and could not get the dosage down.

It has given me my life back. I gradually came off the steriods over 2 years. I am still on vaious other medication but steriods are a thing of the past. Of course I still get flare-ups now and again but on a daily basis I am pain free.

I sincerely hope that it works for you and makes a big improvement to your life.

Best wishes
Lisa
